Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information The Ashlar Group collects through this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It is effective as of July 10, 2026. We keep our data practices deliberately narrow and only collect what we need to respond to you.
Introduction
The Ashlar Group (“the Ashlar Group,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a United States–based business-to-business consulting firm specializing in Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) network deployments. This policy applies to information we collect through this website, askashlar.com (the “Site”). It does not cover any third-party website you may reach through a link, or any information you share with us outside of the Site, such as during a call or by direct email.
Information you provide
We collect the information you choose to submit through our contact form or a consultation request. Depending on which form you use, this may include:
- Your name
- Your company or organization
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your role (for example, two-way radio dealer or enterprise operator)
- Your approximate user count
- The message or project details you write to us
- If you use our cost calculator and choose to submit it, the configuration you entered and the estimated results it produced
You are not required to provide any of this information to browse the Site, but we do need certain details, such as your name, email address, and message, in order to respond to an inquiry.
Information we collect automatically
To help us understand your interest and respond in context, your browser keeps a short record of the pages you visit during your current visit. This in-session page-navigation history is stored in your browser’s temporary session storage. If you submit a form, that list of visited pages is included with your inquiry so our team can follow up meaningfully. This data is cleared when you close your browser tab, and it is never used to track you across other websites.
We use Vercel Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service, to measure aggregate traffic and understand how the Site is used overall. It does not set cookies and does not collect information that identifies you personally.
When you submit a form, our servers briefly process limited technical information, such as your IP address, to apply rate limits and screen out automated spam. We use this only to protect the Site from abuse, not to build a profile of you.
Cookies and similar technologies
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this Site, and there is no cookie banner because we do not set those kinds of cookies. We have no ad networks and do not participate in behavioral advertising.
We do rely on two browser storage mechanisms that stay on your own device:
- Session storage holds the current-visit page trail described above. It is cleared automatically when you close the browser tab.
- Local storage is used, if you submit a consultation form, to remember the details you entered so the form can be pre-filled if you return. This information stays on your device, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
How we use your information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to your inquiry and answer your questions
- Prepare the estimates, sizing analyses, or proposals you request
- Follow up with you about our consulting services
- Maintain a record of our correspondence
- Operate, secure, and improve the Site
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we rely on to operate the Site and to communicate with you, and only so they can provide their service to us:
- Vercel— provides website hosting and the cookieless, aggregate analytics described above.
- SMTP2Go— delivers your form submissions to our team by email.
Each provider processes data solely to deliver its service to us and is not permitted to use it for its own purposes. We may also disclose information if required to do so by law or to protect our legal rights.
Data retention
We keep the inquiries and correspondence you send us only as long as needed to respond to you and to maintain a reasonable record of our communications, and no longer than necessary for those purposes. When information is no longer needed, we take steps to delete it.
Data security
We serve this website exclusively over encrypted HTTPS (TLS) connections and enforce HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), so compliant browsers only ever connect to us securely. The information you submit through our forms is transmitted over these encrypted connections for delivery to our team.
We also apply technical safeguards such as input filtering, spam honeypots, and rate limiting to help protect our forms from abuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request that we:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Delete information you have provided
We do not sell your personal information, and we have not sold personal information in the preceding twelve months, as those terms are used under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. To make a request, please reach out through our contact page, and we will respond as required by applicable law.
Children's privacy
This Site is intended for a business audience and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date shown at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
